C.A.S.E. Mobility Grand Start-up Challenge


T-Hub, world’s largest innovation center, in collaboration with Telangana Mobility Valley (TMV), India’s first cluster focusing on new and sustainable mobility, and Tihan, presents C.A.S.E. Mobility Grand Start-up challenge. The Grand challenge is being conducted as a part of the marquee Hyderabad E Mobility week to be held during 5th to 11th February, 2023.

The objective of the challenge is to accelerate innovation in areas of Connected, Autonomous, Shared and Electric (C.A.S.E.) mobility by supporting growth of start-up ecosystem in India. As part of the Grand challenge, start-ups are expected to share innovative, feasible and scalable solutions for tangible problems prevalent in India.

Focus Areas


Start-ups are expected to submit original ideas solving real problems in urban mobility in India though technology. An illustrative list of topics which could be solved for can include technologies for getting vehicle health reports, driver analysis, identification of potholes, shared mobility as a service, safety innovations for Electric Vehicle and many more. The innovation is boundless in these domains and the start-ups are encouraged to come up unique solutions to advance the fields of CASE mobility.

Evaluation Criteria

The presentation submitted for the Preliminary Round will be evaluated by the management committee considering the following metrics

Originality of the Idea

Innovation of the proposed solution compared to the existing

Feasibility

Is the solution proposed financially feasible? Practicality of the implementation targets

Applicability

Relevance of the problem and applicability of the proposed solution




For the evaluation of the Final Round, the jury will award marks to the presentations and rank the finalists. The Top 3 ideas will be selected basis the evaluation by the jury on the final day of the event.

Rewards

  • Grant in Aid : A grant of upto INR 15 lakhs will be awarded as under
        a. Upto INR 10 lakhs for the 1st ranked start-up in the Final Round
        b. Upto INR 5 lakhs for the 2nd ranked start-up in the Final Round
    Additionally, the first ranked start-up will be eligible to get an additional funding of up to INR 60 lakhs once the start-up to is able achieve commercial production, and will be awarded at sole discretion of the Government of Telangana.

  • Access to incubation facilities at T-Hub for the Top 3 start-ups

  • Mentorship from industry leaders for the Top 3 start-ups

Management Committee

The Management Committee for the CASE Mobility Grand Start-up challenge will comprise of T-Hub, world’s largest innovation center, TiHan and TMV. The decision of Management Committee regarding eligibility, evaluation, and rewards will be final and binding. The management committee reserves the right to modify the rules for the Grand Challenge.

Confidentiality

The Management Committee has no obligation to keep the submissions confidential. The evaluation will be carried out by a team selected by the management committee. The final presentations will be conducted in front of a jury and a broader audience
